Upholstery cleaning by the piece

Fabric furniture in the Atlanta metro is cleaned by the piece: a dining chair, an ottoman, an armchair, a two-seater sofa, or a sectional of three to six seats. You choose the items online and upload photos of each. A manager confirms the figure from those photos before the visit. Nothing on this list is measured by the room; the piece is the unit.

Why the photos decide the figure

Two sofas of the same size can be very different jobs: a tight synthetic weave with one coffee ring, or a loose cotton weave that has carried a dog for years. The list has one choice per piece, so the pictures carry the rest: the fabric type, how soiled it is, where the wear sits. A manager looks at them and settles the figure for each item before the day. That means the figure you see online is not final until that review. Take the pictures in daylight: one of the whole item, one of any stain, one of the fabric tag under a cushion if there is one.

The five stages on every piece

Every item gets the same stages in the same order: inspection and an assessment of the soiling level, thorough vacuuming and dry soil removal, spot treatment of stained and heavily used areas, deep extraction cleaning, and light deodorizing. The stages do not change between a dining chair and a six-seater; the time does. Vacuuming the outside of sofas and chairs is already part of the standard house checklists; extraction is what this service adds.

Fabric protection and care advice if you ask

Two things happen only if you ask and carry an additional fee: drying and care recommendations, and a fabric protection application after cleaning. Neither happens unless you ask. Say so when you book or in the notes field, and the manager includes it in the confirmed figure. Protection makes sense on a sofa that takes daily use; care recommendations suit a weave you are unsure how to treat between cleanings.

Sofas, sectionals and how seats are counted

A two-seater sofa is one choice. Sectionals are chosen by seats: three, four, five or six. Count the seat cushions across the whole sectional and pick that number. If yours has more than six seats, email info@bozmancleaning.com the ZIP and pictures instead. Armchairs, ottomans and dining chairs are booked one by one, so six dining chairs are six choices in the booking. Loose cushions belong to the item they came from.

Pieces that are not on the list

The list is fabric furniture. Leather, a headboard, an office chair or a car seat are not on it. For any of those, ask by phone or email with the ZIP and pictures; whether it can be done is settled in that conversation. Curtains and rugs are not upholstery either: rugs go under carpet cleaning, booked by the room they lie in.

Preparing the room and the piece

Clear the item of throws, pillows that are not part of it, toys and remotes, and give the team a clear path from the door. Mention in the notes field a pet that uses the sofa, a stain you know the cause of, and any spot that has been treated with a store product. The visit is booked at a fixed start time, several items share one booking, and no payment is taken when you book. The confirmed figure comes from the manager before the day.

Pairing with carpet cleaning

A sofa often sits on a rug, and carpet cleaning is booked by the room, the stairs or a hallway, so both can go on one booking with one start time. If the rest of the home also needs the blinds, baseboards and tile done, deep cleaning covers the rooms while the upholstery stages cover the furniture. For a rental or a home being sold, the sofa is usually the last thing to leave, so book it for a date when the room around it is already clear.

The stages below apply to everything on the list. The last two happen only if you ask and carry an additional fee, so ask for them when you book rather than on the day.

How it works

What sets this visit apart is the photo review: a manager settles the figure for each piece from your photos before the day, so the photos matter as much as the date.

  1. Step 1: Book online

Choose each item: dining chair, ottoman, armchair, two-seater sofa or a sectional from three to six seats. Add as many as you have; several services fit in one booking.

  2. Step 2: Confirm the details

Upload photos of each piece, including any tag with the fabric type, and describe stains in the notes field. A manager reviews them and confirms the figure before the visit.

  3. Step 3: We clean

Each item gets the listed stages in order: inspection, thorough vacuuming and dry soil removal, spot treatment, deep extraction cleaning and light deodorizing.

  4. Step 4: Walk-through

Look over each item while it is still damp and say if you want fabric protection applied; that and care recommendations are available if you ask, for an additional fee.

  5. Step 5: Rebook

Book the sofa again when the arms and the seat cushions darken, and add carpet cleaning to the same booking if the rug under it needs doing too.

Frequently asked questions

How is the price for upholstery cleaning decided?

The price is confirmed by a manager from the photos you upload of each piece; the fabric type and how soiled it is are what they look at. The figure shown online when you pick the piece is a starting point. The confirmed one comes before the visit; no price table is published.

What pieces can I book for upholstery cleaning?

Dining chairs, ottomans, armchairs, two-seater sofas and sectional sofas from three to six seats, all in fabric. Anything else, such as leather, a headboard or an office chair, is asked about by phone or email with photos. Whether it can be done is settled there.

Do I need to send photos before the visit?

Yes. The manager confirms the figure for each piece from the photos, so without them nothing is confirmed. Upload them when you book: the whole piece, any stain, and the fabric tag under a cushion if you can find it.

Can you apply fabric protection after cleaning?

Yes, if you ask, and for an additional fee. Say so when you book and it goes into the confirmed figure. Drying and care recommendations are the other item you ask for, useful for a fabric you are unsure how to treat.

Can I book the sofa and the rug under it in one visit?

Yes. Upholstery and carpet cleaning are separate services, but several services fit in one booking with one fixed start time. The rug is booked by the room it lies in and the sofa by the piece, and the manager confirms the sofa figure from your photos.
